Hi! My name is Ashley and I wear many hats.
The wife hat. I am so so blessed to be married to such a wonderful man who loves Jesus, loves me and loves his family. He works hard every day so that I can stay home to raise our boys.
The mom hat. (this also includes the cook hat, the cleaning lady hat, the shopping hat, the nurse hat, the potty trainer hat, etc) I'm a full time mom to our three boys - Brooks, Carter & Bennett. Our days are filled with playing cars, building towers and playing countless made-up games that involve whatever random objects are found around the house. And in between that I cook meals, do the laundry, wash the dishes and sweep the floor. About 142 times a week. And to everyone who asks .... yes, we're busy. And yes, we like it that way!
The teacher hat. We've done preschool at home with Brooks and are planning to continue through kindergarten. I have the privilege of teaching him and, even better, watching him learn.
The childbirth educator hat. Once a week, I am able to take off my mom hat and do something just for me. I teach childbirth education classes and I love it! I love all things birth and breastfeeding and absolutely enjoy working with pregnant couples to teach them these things!
The friend hat. I am blessed with some wonderful friends. And it happens to work nicely that they have kids the same age as my kids (perhaps that's why we're friends in the first place?) It's so nice to sit on one of our couches with a cup of coffee and enjoy the conversation of someone in the same stage of life (this conversation, of course, is interrupted at least 29 times. We do have small children, remember?? But it's still good, even if it's in fragments.)
